Detroit will host the 2028 National Sports Collectors Convention, the show’s organizers announced Saturday.

The scheduled venue, Huntington Place, overlooks the Detroit Riverfront and features more than 700,000 square-feet of exhibition space.

Detroit edged out Atlanta to host the convention in 2028 following input from the show’s vendors.

The 45th National Sports Collectors Convention is currently taking place in Rosemont, Ill. The Chicago suburb is also scheduled to host the show in 2026 and 2027.

Plymouth, Mich., hosted the second National Convention in 1981. Detroit has never hosted the National.
