Warriors have interest in 45.0% ex-76ers 3-point shooter to pair with Stephen Curry

The Curry brothers could play well off each other.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Charlotte Hornets guard Seth Curry

A few years ago, the Philadelphia 76ers saw the benefits of having Seth Curry on the roster. Curry is an intriguing player, and while he isn't like his brother, he's a very valuable professional and there's something to be said about that.

He's dealt with some injuries throughout parts of his career, like many, but for the most part, he's been available. Curry played in 68 games last season for the Charlotte Hornets, shooting 45.6% from 3-point range.

A free agent at the moment, he should find himself on a new team in the near future.

According to a recent report from Anthony Slater of ESPN, that team could be the Golden State Warriors. He noted that both sides have some interest, adding that he could be a decent bench option for them to pursue as they look to fill the rest of their roster after a very quiet offseason.

"Another name I'm hearing with mutual interest is Seth Curry, actually, as a potential bench option with a family tie," Slater reported on ESPN.

Curry wouldn't be the best pickup for the Warriors at this stage, but he’d get to play with his brother, Stephen Curry.

During the 2021-22 season for the 76ers, he shot 40% from 3-point range in 45 games. Curry was eventually moved to the Brooklyn Nets in the James Harden deal, a move the 76ers had to make.

There were even points in his 76ers career where one could’ve argued that he deserved to have an even bigger role than he was already playing, as he shot 45.0% from a 3-point range while playing in 28.7 minutes per night during the 2020-21 season.
