The Knicks could still use a player to round out their roster.
The New York Knicks understood that after they made the trade they did for Mikal Bridges, sending five first-round picks to the Brooklyn Nets, they'd have to extend him.
The Knicks did just that on Thursday, locking Bridges to a deal for four years, $150 million. While Bridges is a decent player and someone who could be useful over the next few years, he had some tough showings for parts throughout the year.
Nonetheless, the Knicks are far from done during the offseason after this move and still have a few ways they could go.
When searching for what that move could be, CBS Sports' James Herbert laid out a few interesting ideas, including one for Ben Simmons. Reports have indicated that the Knicks are interested in Simmons, with his decision expected soon.

"The Knicks added Guerschon Yabusele and Jordan Clarkson, but they still have only 12 players under contract. No. 51 pick Mohamed Diawara will sign with New York rather than staying in Cholet, according to the French team, but that could be a two-way contract," Herbert wrote.
"Could Ben Simmons be an option? He's been linked to the Knicks, and, if coach Mike Brown wants to play faster and diversify the offense, maybe he's worth a shot. It would be simpler to integrate a playmaker like Malcolm Brogdon, though, and three guards who finished the season in New York —Cameron Payne, Landry Shamet and Delon Wright — remain unsigned. Precious Achiuwa is still out there, too."
Simmons would be an intriguing player to target, mainly because of his defensive abilities. However, it's also important to note that he's had some tough issues offensively.
If Simmons can figure those things out in the Knicks' offensive system, he'd be the perfect addition.
If not, there are certainly question marks.
