According to journalist Eduardo Inda on El Chiringuito (h/t OK Diario), Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has received a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia.
The Belgian shot-stopper, who currently earns around €8 million per net at the club, has been offered a contract worth around €30 million per season, a huge increase compared to his current salary.
Courtois’ Real Madrid deal runs out in 2027
Courtois joined Real Madrid in 2018 from Chelsea and has since become one of the team’s most important players.
The Belgian international has been decisive in several titles won by the club in recent years and is widely considered one of the best goalkeepers in world football.
Now 33 years old, Courtois still has several seasons at a high level ahead of him. However, his current contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2027, which means that after this season he will enter the final stretch of his deal.

That contract situation could encourage Saudi clubs to push harder next summer. With a salary offer that Real Madrid are unlikely to match, the situation could complicate future negotiations between the player and the club.
Real Madrid typically apply a renewal policy for older players, offering shorter extensions -usually year-by-year deals or contracts linked to performance targets.
This approach may clash with the possibility for Courtois to sign one last major long-term contract abroad.
For the Belgian goalkeeper, the decision could ultimately come down to financial opportunity versus continuing his career in Madrid, where he remains one of the pillars of the team at the Santiago Bernabeu.
