2027 Iowa women's basketball commit wins Wisconsin top guard fan vote

Iowa women's basketball commit Jada Seubert secured Wisconsin's SI fan vote as the state's top high school guard.

After Sports Illustrated revealed a fan vote poll listing 20 talented names from across Wisconsin to help determine the state's top guard for the 2025-26 season, 2027 commit Jada Seubert won the superlative love by a landslide.

Seubert, a 5-foot-11 junior combo guard who currently stars for SPASH (Stevens Point Area Senior High) in Stevens Point, Wis., rates as a four-star commit and as the No. 41 overall prospect, as the No. 4 combo guard, and as the No. 1 recruit in Wisconsin, according to 247Sports. She also ranks as the No. 66 prospect nationally, as well as the No. 1 player in Wisconsin, per Prep Girls Hoops.

Stevens Point Panther sophomore Jada Seubert (5) looks for an opening during the first half of the playoff game against Appleton East High School at D.C. Everest High School on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

According to the poll's final results, Seubert collected 33% of the total vote (5,125 votes), which was roughly 12% higher (1,776 votes) than Wisconsin Dells senior Ashiya Hopkins, who placed second.

In her junior season at SPASH, Seubert is averaging 24.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per contest, while shooting 51.0% from the floor, 38.9% from 3-point distance, and 72.6% from the free-throw line through 26 games played, according to MaxPreps.

While the Sports Illustrated poll is meant to serve only as a fun, lighthearted way to show support for the athletes listed, the passionate Iowa fan base once again came out in full force to propel their future Hawkeye star to victory.
