Jürgen Klopp could be back in the dugout much sooner than expected. After leaving Liverpool FC in 2024 and joining the Red Bull group as global director of football, the German coach looked ready to turn the page on the daily grind of the touchline.

But the situation appears to have changed in recent weeks. According to several Spanish sources, advanced talks are underway with Atlético de Madrid, as the club’s new leadership considers launching a new era after the Diego Simeone years.

The German doesn't hide his interest in the Madrid project:

“I like Atlético de Madrid’s profile. In Germany, I didn’t go to Bayern Munich, I went to Dortmund. In the Premier League, I didn’t go to City, I went to Liverpool. I like Atlético de Madrid’s profile.”

A move that could be made official in the coming months.
