The Philadelphia Phillies were certainly very busy at the trade deadline this summer. They were aggressive buyers and added bullpen help as well as a key outfield bat.

Jhoan Duran and Harrison Bader were acquired in separate trades with the Minnesota Twins. Philadelphia is just a half-game back of the New York Mets in the NL East.

Will Leitch of MLB.com listed Philadelphia as one of the biggest winners of this year's trade deadline.

"They had to give up a couple of promising prospects to do it, but the Phillies, perhaps more than any other team in baseball, need to win a World Series as soon as possible. Giving away prospects to get a guy like Duran is a no-brainer. And Harrison Bader, as a right-handed hitter who can play strong defense in center field, is a nice fit as well."
