DES MOINES, Iowa (KELO) — No. 1 seed Hinton narrowly escaped No. 8 West Lyon 46-45 on Tuesday night to advance to the Class 2A state semifinals.
The Wildcats handed the Blackhawks their only loss on Dec. 4, 2025, with another one-point decision. Hinton will face No. 4 seed Denver at Casey’s Center on Friday at 10 a.m. with a spot in the state championship game on the line.
