In its final home game of the regular season, Louisville got a much-needed victory over Syracuse, handling the Orange with relative ease, 77-62.

The senior trio of Ryan Conwell (23 points, 7 rebounds), J’Vonne Hadley (19 points on 7-of-9 shooting) and Isaac McKneely (16 points) led the way for the Cards.

U of L saved one of its better defensive efforts for its penultimate game of the regular season. They held Syracuse to 40% shooting from the field, 21% shooting from three, and forced the Orange into 11 turnovers.

“We picked it up on defense today,” Hadley said after the game. “That was a big key point coming into this game. I think we really showed our heart on defense and what we’re capable of. Hopefully we can continue to have that defensive mindset.”

Louisville led by as many as 24 points in the second half. A Syracuse run spearheaded by point guard Naithan George trimmed that lead to 11, but the Orange were never able to cut the deficit to single-digits.

Louisville will end the 2025-26 campaign with a 15-2 record inside the KFC Yum Center.

Can’t sweep the month of March if you don’t win the first one. Let’s finally get over the big game hump on Saturday.
