Signed in September 2024 from Riga, Ousseynou Niang quickly proved his talent at Union Saint-Gilloise. The Belgian champions have decided to reward him with a contract extension.
The Belgian club issued a statement on its official website to announce the extension of the U23 Senegalese winger's contract. "The Senegalese whirlwind signs a three-year deal at Duden Park, with an optional two-year extension," confirmed the club based in the Brussels municipality of Forest.
Brought in for a fee of 1.5 million euros, the native of Ziguinchor has played 39 matches as a full-back, scoring two goals and providing four assists. He played a pivotal role in Union Saint-Gilloise's first Belgian league title in 90 years.
An electrifying winger, the former Diambars FC player has yet to be called up to the Senegal senior team. However, a call-up during the next international break seems highly likely.
