The Heels seek their third win in a row against a desperate Hokies team.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are getting set to face off against Virginia Tech in the second to last home game of the season. The Heels are looking to win their third game in a row and to maintain their positioning for the ACC Tournament. Earlier today, NC State lost to Notre Dame in overtime, so now the Heels could earn a double-bye as long as they win two of their last three and the Wolfpack lose one more. Thankfully State has to face Duke next weekend, and it is hard seeing a world where they come out of that game victorious.

On the other side of things, the Hokies are in big trouble as far as their NCAA Tournament hopes go. Right now Joe Lunardi has them in the next 4 out category, so winning against the Heels tonight would be huge. The good news for them is that Caleb Wilson is still out, but the bad news is that UNC has gotten along just fine without him. Still, Virginia Tech will be hungry for a win, so the Heels will have to avoid falling asleep behind the wheel in this one.

As always, feel free to hang out with us in the comments section, and we will also be back after the game with post-game analysis and takes. Until then, Go Heels!
