Flick sends message after Villarreal win
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick praised his team’s performance after 4-1 La Liga win over Villarreal at Spotify Camp Nou.
Flick happy with performance, but wants more

Barcelona dominated the match at Spotify Camp Nou, with Lamine Yamal scoring a hat-trick and Robert Lewandowski adding the fourth goal.
The win lifted Barcelona to 64 point keeping them top of the league table.
Speaking to Marca, Flick said the team can still improve but he was very pleased with what he saw. He highlighted the high tempo, quick pressing and strong duels as key reasons behind the victory.
Pressing the key against Villarreal
Flick explained that Barcelona focused on pressing Villarreal early and with intensity. He said winning individual battles and applying fast pressure made the difference.
The German coach also noted that Villarreal are one of the best teams in the league and have very quick players which made the performance even more encouraging.
Despite this, Flick believes Barcelona still have room to grow.
Focus turns to Atletico Madrid
Attention now shifts to Barcelona’s next match against Atletico Madrid in second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final scheduled for Tuesday.
Flick admitted that turning the tie around will be difficult after losing first leg 4-0 but stressed that the team will fight until the end.
He said the level shown against Villarreal must be repeated if Barcelona want chance to progress.
Individual updates: Yamal, Pedri and Gavi
Flick also spoke about Lamine Yamal’s hat-trick saying goals make everything easier for the young winger. He reminded that Yamal is still developing and often faces two or three defender but praised his talent and potential.
On midfielders Flick said Pedri is special player who brings control and balance and confirmed he is expected to start against Atletico.
He added that Gavi is not yet ready to return and that Tuesday’s match may come too soon for him.
