Kenyon Sadiq made history at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
On Friday, Feb. 27, the Oregon Ducks tight end, 20, set a record at the week-long showcase by running the fastest 40-yard dash of any tight end in the history of the event. His time of 4.39 seconds also marked the first time a tight end has ever broken the 4.4-second barrier.
“Kenyon Sadiq’s second attempt is officially a 4.39, the fastest ever for a tight end🔥,” the NFL wrote on Instagram alongside a video of the athlete zooming across the field while aggressively pumping his arms and legs. “Ridiculous speed by a tight end💨.”
Before Sadiq claimed his spot as the fastest-ever tight end, Vernon Davis set the record in 2006 by running the 40-yard dash in 4.40 seconds. Dorin Dickerson then tied his record in 2010.
Beyond his extreme speed in the 40-yard dash, Sadiq also posted an 11-foot, 1-inch broad jump, which was the highest mark of the 2026 combine among tight ends — until Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers topped it a few minutes later with a jump of 11 feet and 3 inches.
The Oregon tight end also went on to post an impressive 43.5-inch vertical jump, which was also later outdone by Stowers with a jump of 45.5 inches.

After spending three seasons playing for the Oregon Ducks, Sadiq announced on Jan. 13 that he would be declaring for the 2026 NFL draft.
“I want to start off by expressing how blessed and truly grateful I am to have had the opportunity to play for the University of Oregon,” he wrote on Instagram last month. “I can’t begin to explain how much these last three years have meant to me. The relationships built, adversities overcome, and all the memories made will forever be a part of my life.”

“I will cherish the friendships and memories made during my athletic and academic journey for the rest of my life,” he continued. “From the first moment I arrived on Oregon’s campus, the sheer volume of support from duck fans was undeniable. Thank you Duck fans for making a small town kid from Idaho a part of your family, you genuinely made this experience special."
Added Sadiq: "I will never forget the energy and passion shown towards me and my family. I’m so grateful for all of you.”
