Haaland Backs Man City Amid Legal Storm: "I Trust the Club"

Erling Haaland's publicly thrown his support behind Man City in their ongoing legal battle with the Premier League saying he trusts the club’s leadership after personal talks before signing his new 10 year contract.

City's 115 Charge Saga Still Ongoing

The treble winners are still awaiting verdict on the 115 alleged financial breaches following private hearing held last autumn. A final decision has yet to be delivered , a delay that could stretch the case across three seasons. Potential punishments range from heavy fines to relegation.

Speaking to Time Magazine, Haaland said:

"I spoke to the people in charge and in the end , I believe them. It’s complicated for me to comment on because I wasn’t really part of it. But I think the club knows what it's doing and will sort it out"

Contract Confidence & Penalty Admission

Haaland recently signed massive deal worth over £400000 /week signaling mutual trust between player and club amid uncertainty.

"It felt natural to me. They've a lot of trust in me. I'd good gut feeling" he added.

Despite scoring 124 goal in 146 match for City, Haaland admitted costly error in the FA cup final against Crystal Palace where he handed penalty to new signing Omar Marmoush who missed.

"I shouldn’t have given it to new player. It’s my fault. I felt good about him but I should’ve taken it"

United Missed Out on Haaland for €20m

The striker also confirmed that Man United, under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tried to sign him from Salzburg but the board refused to activate his 20 million euro release clause.

"When manager you’ve worked with before wants you, of course you listen" Haaland noted.

Focus Forward Despite Title Setbacks

Despite losing the PL title last season, Haaland made it clear he’s only looking ahead.

“You can’t dwell on last season. That’s the best thing about football there’s always something new. Focus on what’s next. Live in the moment"..
