The Golden State Warriors have been predicted to trade Jonathan Kuminga to the Chicago Bulls for a young duo.
Warriors Predicted to Trade Jonathan Kuminga for Bulls' $48 Million Duo in Offseason Deal originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
It has been an underwhelming offseason thus far for the Golden State Warriors as they have failed to make any moves outside of the 2025 NBA Draft.
Of course, many around the league expected the Warriors to be extremely active this summer to upgrade their roster around their star trio of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green to chase a title next season.
Instead, the Warriors are still awaiting a decision by restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga which has cost them multiple free agent targets.
For Kuminga, his role with the Warriors is uncertain entering next season after he fell out of Steve Kerr’s rotation last season.
Despite this, the young forward has not seen a ton of interest from other teams around the NBA and it is looking as though he will return to Golden State next season.
While that may be the case, ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel recently reported that the Chicago Bulls are one of the top suitors for Kuminga this offseason and he came up with a mock trade on Monday.
In the trade, the Warriors would send Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis to the Bulls in exchange for Ayo Dosunmu, Jalen Smith, a lottery-protected 2028 first-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick.
This would be a solid move for the Warriors, though Siegel did mention that they would be more interested in acquiring Coby White back in a potential Kuminga deal, though Chicago is not interested in moving White.
Chicago would also likely want to move on from Nikola Vucevic in a trade for Kuminga but it has been reported that the Warriors are not interested in him despite rumors surrounding the two sides over the last few seasons.
Despite this, adding Dosunmu and Smith would be solid additions to the Warriors’ roster that would fill two holes for them at the guard and center positions and they would also add two future picks.
While that may be the case, the Bulls may hold off on a trade for Kuminga this summer as they are still trying to bring back their own restricted free agent in Josh Giddey.
