Jessica Moss is staying positive.

The wife of NFL running back Zack Moss shared her reaction to the news that her husband was released from the Cincinnati Bengals during training camp as he recovers from his broken neck injury sustained last season.

One day after Jessica deemed it "one of the hardest weeks in his NFL career" on TikTok, the Ohio-based team announced on July 30 that Moss, 27, had been released. The player entered training camp on the non-football injury list after suffering a season-ending injury in November.

"pov: your husband is released during training camp," wrote Jessica over a video of herself sharing the news.

"I'm on my daily walk with my two kiddos after finding out that my husband was just released from his job," she began her clip, featuring herself walking around a neighborhood with one baby strapped to her while she pushes the other in a stroller.

Jessica received a text from Zack that morning alerting her that he's "been released from the team," she shared in the clip. "This wasn't super surprising news to me because he is injured. He's recovering from a neck injury," she noted for those who weren't familiar.

"Neck injuries are very severe, especially in the NFL as a running back," she said, adding, "And my husband is a very physical back — so naturally, as his wife, I will go on the internet to see what they're saying."

"Obviously, the team had their reasons for releasing him or whatever, but lack of talent isn't one of them," she said in the clip. "He's a great pass blocker, one of the reasons that Cincinnati wanted him."

Jessica concluded, "But anyways, I wasn't going to let that keep me, ya know, in a bad space — and we're just out here getting it in today."

Zack, who would be entering his sixth year in the NFL, was selected in the third round by the Buffalo Bills in the 2020 NFL Draft. He met his wife at the University of Utah, where they both attended, and the pair later wed in October 2022.

On Nov. 1 last season, Zack learned his neck was broken in three places two days before the Bengals were scheduled to play the Las Vegas Raiders. In the two months that followed, the athlete was in a neck brace and was limited to minimal movement, per the doctor's request.

Since he transitioned into the League, Jessica hasn't ever missed a training camp trip alongside him in support. However, she opened up on TikTok this year that she opted to stay home in Utah, where they reside with their two kids, due to several factors, his injury being among them.

"My husband has been gone for about a week for training camp, and it's been one of the hardest weeks in his NFL career," she said in her post uploaded on Monday, July 28, before explaining why she didn't join him on the grounds this year.

Jessica said that it can be "really stressful" moving out when relocating to training camp when the season starts because they have to "haul all [their] stuff back and forth" — that is, unless families "have a football home," she shared.

The couple recently bought a furnished place in Utah since Zack had a two-year contract, so they don't have a football home. In addition, settling down made it easier on them and their two kids, son Xavien, 2, and daughter Promise, 2 months.
