It’s the offseason, and King James is heading into his 23rd season. Like clockwork, LeBron has been giving us his usual offseason content on Instagram—early morning workouts, grind-mode clips, and all the motivation you’d expect from someone still chasing greatness. This time was no different. He posted a clip of himself getting some work in as early as 4 AM.
But what really caught fans’ attention wasn’t just the work—it was what he had on his feet. A new all-black sneaker that looks to be his next signature model. The shoe is mostly black, so you can’t catch all the details just yet, but one thing stood out: a crown wrapping around the upper. It instantly gave me Ja 1 vibes, where the Nike check wraps the entire shoe. From what we can see so far, it does resemble the Bron 22s—but the image isn’t the clearest, so we’ll have to wait on official photos to really judge it.
Since the LeBron 20s, he’s really switched it up. No more bulky builds—he’s leaned into a lighter, more modern hoop shoe. You can still catch guys like Desmond Bane rocking the 20s during games, which speaks volumes about how solid that model was. I still wear my “Stocking Stuffer” colorway from time to time. Super comfortable.
Hopefully the LeBron 23s continue that trend—lightweight, comfortable, and built for on-court performance. His line has quietly become one of the most worn again, and this new pair could add to that wave.
