After failing to repeat as NBA Champions last postseason, many expected the Boston Celtics to undergo some major changes to their roster this summer. Very early in the offseason, they did exactly that.

Boston traded Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Anfernee Simons. Additionally, they traded Kristaps Porzingis to the Atlanta Hawks as part of a three-team deal.

It was not a surprise even before, but the Celtics trading Porzingis especially seemed even more inevitable given the end of his season. The Latvian native dealt with an illness for much of the second half of the season, and it greatly impacted him in the playoffs.

On Tuesday, Porzingis provided a major update regarding his health after his trade from the Celtics.

Porzingis provided a big boost on both sides of the ball for the Celtics during his two-year stint with the team, but he was mostly ineffective during last season's playoff run. However, according to the 30-year-old, he currently feels "fantastic" after being able to rest following the end of the season.

"I feel fantastic, to be honest," Porzingis said. "I took time to rest after the season. Something was lingering during the playoffs--I had fatigue, dizziness, even moments where I felt like I might faint. It wasn't great."

"In June, I fully rested and lowered the intensity. All of that has gone away. I haven't felt any of the playoff symptoms anymore. I feel great and ready to join the national team. Super happy."

If Porzingis is fully recovered from his illness and is able to be healthy and available for Atlanta next season, he will play a crucial role for the team as they look to make some noise in the wide-open Eastern Conference.

Health has always been a concern for Porzingis. However, when he is on the court, he provides a lot of value on both sides of the ball. If he stays healthy, he can be a true weapon for the Hawks next season.
