MATCHUP NOTES
The Los Angeles Sparks (11-14) won five of its first 19 games but have caught fire of late with six consecutive victories. The Sparks closed out their 3-0 road swing by shocking the New York Liberty, 101-99 as 11-point underdogs on Saturday.
The Las Vegas Aces (13-13) crawled back to the .500 mark following Sunday's 106-80 rout of the Dallas Wings. The Aces look to finish off their four-game away trip at 2-2, as nine of their 13 victories are against teams with losing records.
Los Angeles have struggled at home this season, compiling a 3-8 record at Crypto.com Arena. The Sparks are riding a 7-0 streak to the Over, while topping the 90-point mark in each of the past five games.

The second pick of the 2024 draft, Cameron Brink is expected to make her season debut on Tuesday for the Sparks. Brink suffered a season-ending knee injury last June and will look to help L.A. make a run towards the playoffs.
The Aces are seeking consecutive road wins for the first time this season. Leading scorer A'ja Wilson is averaging 21.6 points per game, ranking second in the WNBA. However, Wilson averages 15.7 points per game on one day of rest, her lowest output of any rest situation.
HEAD-TO-HEAD MATCHUPS
The Aces and Sparks have split a pair of matchups this season. Las Vegas captured the first meeting as 10.5-point home favorites, 96-81 on May 30. Wilson lit up the Sparks for 35 points, while the Aces knocked down 12 treys in the win.
Los Angeles rebounded in the last meeting, 97-89 on June 11 in Vegas. The Sparks won outright as nine-point underdogs, led by Rickea Jackson's 30 points. Guard Kelsey Plum is averaging 15.0 points per game in two matchups against her former team.
FIRST QUARTER BETTING TRENDS
Both the Sparks and Aces own losing records in the first quarter this season. Los Angeles dropped 35 points on New York on Saturday in opening 10 minutes, the most by any team in the WNBA this season.
The Sparks have cashed the first quarter Over in seven consecutive games, while the Aces are 5-1 to the Over in the last six games in the opening period. Not surprisingly with the two high-scoring games between these Western Conference squads, each meeting surpassed the first quarter Over.
BETTING PREDICTION
Las Vegas opened as a one-point favorite on the overnight line, but has moved up to a 2.5-point favorite at most sportsbooks.
This marks the third time the Sparks are listed as an underdog to the Aces this season. But this line is more manageable for Las Vegas to cover and seeing all of L.A.'s home struggles, it's hard to back the Sparks.
All three home wins for the Sparks have come against the Sky twice and the Sun, the two worst teams in the Eastern Conference.
Dating back to 2023, this is by far the shortest line in this series as the Aces were favorites of nine points or more in the previous 10 matchups.
