The Detroit Pistons have had a solid offseason thus far despite losing multiple key pieces of their roster from last season that helped turn their franchise around.

Of course, the Pistons are coming off a season in which they made the playoffs after finishing with the NBA’s worst record the prior two seasons.

This was mainly due to the continued development of their young players, especially Cade Cunningham, and also the addition of multiple veterans.

Despite this, the Pistons have lost multiple players in free agency this summer as both Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dennis Schroder left and it looks as though Malik Beasley may not return next season as he is being investigated for gambling allegations.

While Detroit did lose these players, they also added Caris LeVert and Duncan Robinson in free agency and a recent report regarding the Chicago Bulls could also benefit them.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Bulls will release veteran center Nikola Vucevic this offseason if they are unable to find a trade for him.

Of course, the Pistons have reportedly been searching for a big man who can help stretch the floor for them with both Naz Reid and Myles Turner being linked to them earlier in the offseason.

With the Pistons missing out on Turner and Reid, they could now target Vucevic if the Bulls do end up buying out his contract and making him a free agent, which looks likely due to his almost nonexistent trade market.

Vucevic would be a solid addition to the Pistons’ roster alongside Jalen Duren, Paul Reed and Isaiah Stewart in the frontcourt as he would give them a great scorer who would also be able to space the floor due to his three-point shooting.

Despite this, there should be many teams who could target the veteran big man if he becomes available in free agency this offseason which could hinder Detroit’s chances of landing him.
