GOAT is set to release on February 13, 2026.
Fans are finally getting a sneak peek into Stephen Curry's "GOAT" film. Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures released the first-look trailer on Wednesday (July 30), where fans meet Will Harris for the first time. The original animated action-comedy film trailer begins with an introduction by Curry.
"You're never too small to dream big" is the theme of the film, which the trailer is soundtracked by Skee-Lo's "I Wish."
The film finds Harris -- voiced by Stranger Things' Caleb McLaughlin -- trying out for Roarball. His small size and his financial situation in the film adds to the obstacles he faces in the film but he is still focused on living out his dream.
The animal casted film has Harris as a goat to play on the acronym (Greatest Of All Time). Curry is cast in the movie and will voice a giraffe.
“From Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,’ comes ‘GOAT,’ an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world,” per the logline. “The story follows Will, a small goat with big dreams who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball – a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will’s new teammates aren’t thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionize the sport and prove once and for all that ‘smalls can ball!”
GOAT casting
Alongside Curry and McLaughlin, "GOAT" will have voice talents from Gabrielle Union, Stephen Curry, Nicola Coughlan, Nick Kroll. Rounding out your starting lineup are David Harbour, Jenifer Lewis, Aaron Pierre, Patton Oswalt, Andrew Santino, Bobby Lee, Eduardo Franco, Sherry Cola, Jelly Roll, and Jennifer Hudson.
Curry will also produce the basketball-inspired film with Erick Peyton for Unanimous Media. Michelle Raimo Kouyate, Adam Rosenberg, and Rodney Rothman will also produce as part of Modern Magic.
