The former Congolese international Yves Diba-Ilunga has a soft spot for the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
He made this clear during an exclusive interview with the Foot Africa website.
Since its inception, CHAN has reached impressive heights. It’s especially under the managerial drive of Patrice Motsepe (the president of the Confederation of African Football), whom I salute in passing, that the tournament has developed in a truly spectacular way. I always put CHAN first, regardless of its level, because it is a genuine platform for young African talents whose skills would otherwise fade away in the unstructured streets of some underdeveloped countries. Yves Bissouma (Malian international) from Tottenham is a perfect example.
