Luka isn't the only Lakers star in the gym this offseason.
LeBron James Sends Strong Message Amid Luka Doncic's Physical Change originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
While Luka Doncic's new physique took the NBA world by storm on Monday, LeBron James made it clear that his Los Angeles Lakers teammate was not the only player putting in extra hours in the gym this offseason.
Luka Doncic's Offseason Body Transformation
After being traded to James' Lakers from the Dallas Mavericks in the middle of last season, Doncic has been dedicated to improving his body ahead of his first full season in Los Angeles — which could be James' last.
“Just visually, I would say my whole body looks better,” said Doncic, who was officially listed at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds last season and was subject to rumors of poor conditioning before his Dallas exit.

In a three-part profile in Men's Health magazine, the 26-year-old superstar opened up about his intense training regimen, featuring two workouts per day in Slovenia while introducing fasting into his improved diet.
According to Doncic's physiotherapist Javier Barrio, he demanded to start on May 5, less than a week after the Lakers' Western Conference playoff loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
As he begins a week of Jordan Brand appearances, Luka Dončić is also featured in @MensHealthMag, talking extensively about his offseason training and his body transformation this summer.

What Did LeBron James Say?
While James, 40, did not directly address his teammate's offseason plan, the four-time MVP reminded Lakers fans on Monday that he is also locked in ahead of his historic 23rd NBA season.
"Let's get it!" James posted on his Instagram story with a clock showing 4:49 a.m. local time. "Year 23 coming soon!"
He appeared to be on his way to a workout, evidenced by a flexing emoji at the end of the text.
The NBA's all-time leading scorer went for a social media post instead of a magazine feature to highlight his work ethic, which has been a key factor in his historic career.
"I’m gonna get up every single day at 5 or 6 a.m., and when I get home after everyone leaves the gym, I’m gonna take a nap," James said of his routine on his "Mind the Game" podcast in 2024.
"And when I wake up, I’m probably gonna train again. Then I’m gonna have dinner, then I’m going to bed. And I’m gonna do that every single day, for a long period of time. That’s sacrificing and discipline."
James and Doncic may have different approaches, but Lakers fans will be thrilled to see their two stars both on the grind this offseason.
