Real Madrid interested in Dortmund’s Schlotterbeck

According to Bild.

Real Madrid are considering making a move for Borussia Dortmund center-back Nico Schlotterbeck, according to a report published on German newspaper Bild. Schlotterbeck’s contract with Dortmund expires in the summer of 2027 and he would be keen on becoming a madridista if Los Blancos and the German club reach some kind of agreement, per that same report.

Schlotterbeck could be on his way out of the Bundesliga if Dortmund decide to sell him now instead of taking the risk of losing the player as a free agent a year later. The 26-year old defender would make sense for Real Madrid knowing that both David Alaba and Antonio Rüdiger are expected to leave the club as their contracts expire this upcoming summer.

The German defender has become one of the best center-backs in the Bundesliga and was even rumored to be on Bayern Munich’s radar until Upamecano signed his contract extension.
