Ferland Mendy's injury gave Garcia the starting spot in the tournament, and the young defender took advantage of the opportunity.
Even with the arrival of Alvaro Carreras and Mendy's return, Garcia still believes he will be an important player for Alonso's Madrid.
Alonso, in turn, trusts Garcia and had his eye on the defender two seasons before, while still at Bayer Leverkusen.
Garcia scored a goal during the Club World Cup and in the 2024/25 La Liga season recorded two assists in 31 matches.
Garcia will be looking for every opportunity he can to make an impact for Real, even if he's pushed down the pecking order at the start of the season.
