Texas quarterback Arch Manning has some lofty expectations to live up to in 2025.

Manning has received minimum playing time throughout his collegiate career as he sat behind Quinn Ewers on the depth chart for the last two seasons. However, his talent and potential is through the roof.

The former-five star recruit and the nation's No. 1 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class is garnering massive hype ahead of his first year as the full-time starter for Texas. According to On Texas Football's Blake Munroe, Manning is now the favorite to take home the Davey O'Brien award in 2025, given annually to the nation's top quarterback in college football.

Other notable betting favorites for the award include Clemson's Cade Klubnik, Miami's Carson Beck, LSU's Garrett Nussmeier, and Ohio State's Julian Sayin. Recent winners of the award are Cam Ward, Jayden Daniels, Max Duggan, Bryce Young, Mac Jones, and Joe Burrow.

The Longhorns are expected to begin the season ranked among the top three teams in the country. Manning will immediately be put to the test as Texas travels to Columbus to face Ohio State in the season opener on Aug. 30.

Should Manning have the type of successful season that many believe he is capable of, his NFL Draft hype will be through the roof.
