Since leaving the UFC in 2021, Perry has become a standout name in Conor McGregor’s BKFC promotion.
He has built a strong record in BKFC, racking up six wins in six fights, with notable victories over Michael ‘Venom’ Page, Luke Rockhold, and Alvarez among them.
Although he was not on the card for Knuckle Mania 6, Perry still found himself at the centre of attention after getting into it with ‘The Underground King’.
Mike Perry shares what led to fight with Eddie Alvarez
This past Saturday in Philadelphia, chaos broke out early during BKFC Knuckle Mania 6, with brawls erupting among fans before the first fight had even started.
Things escalated further when Perry and Alvarez got into it as well. The two had previously met in the BKFC ring back in 2023, where Perry came out on top via a second-round corner stoppage.
This time though, footage made the rounds showing Alvarez getting the better of it before security stepped in to separate them.
On Monday, Perry spoke about the incident on X, saying: “They welcomed me to Philly as one of their own, and that floor was slippery as heck.”
“His wife fell on her face, and I laughed at her looks like I was just down underneath everybody slipping for the first minute, told ya’ll, eventful.”
When questioned what started the brawl, Perry simply answered: “Vodka.”
