A look around the Connecticut high school sports scene for Monday.
John Napiello produced 21 points to help Woodland secure a 69-64 boys basketball victory over Ansonia Monday night.
Ean Pringle followed with 17 points and Aiden Pringle added 10. Woodland went a perfect 21-of-21 from the free throw line.
Jordan Nakhoune led Ansonia with 27 points, and Mykah McNeil chipped in 17.
In girls basketball action, Phillise Mallard netted 14 points to lead SMSA to a 42-36 win over International.
Raina Young-Scott scored 11 points for International.
