Aston Villa will welcome Brighton and Hove Albion at Villa Park this Wednesday night as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Villans managed to secure a 1-1 draw away at Bournemouth recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in the league.

Unai Emery will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for this game. Thus, Ollie Watkins will once again lead the line for the West Midlands club up top.

4-2-3-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton

Defence

Emiliano Martinez will feature in goal for the Villans after he shipped in one goal in his last outing. Ezri Konsa will operate alongside Tyrone Mings at the heart of the Aston Villa backline as they look to keep a solid shape at the back during the 90 minutes.

Matty Cash will try to prove his value as the right-back, while Lucas Digne looks to put in a good performance on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have hope to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half at every chance they can get.

Ian Maatsen and Victor Lindelof will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Amadou Onana and Douglas Luiz will operate as the holding midfielders as they look to win the 50-50 battles in the middle of the park and engineer some decent chances in the final third.

The talented trio of Morgan Rogers, Emi Buendia and Jadon Sancho will play just ahead of them as part of the Aston Villa attack. All three of them need to link up with each other well if the Villans are to come out on top versus the Seagulls this week.

Ross Barkley, Leon Bailey and Lamare Bogarde will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Ollie Watkins will lead the line for the Midlands club in the final third. He has to find a way to be a constant menace up top.

Tammy Abraham will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
