A couple of former Notre Dame football players made a huge impact during Seattle’s Super Bowl victory.

The Seattle Seahawks took down the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl with a 29-13 score. Seattle was absolutely BRUTAL on defense — and yes that’s the good kind of brutal.

Two players that helped Seattle have such a dominating performance were former Notre Dame stars, Julian Love and Rylie Mills.

Mills got his first career sack in the Super Bowl, and it was a doozy. Rylie bullrushed and basically sacked Drake Maye AND his offensive lineman in a play that helped set the tone of the game early in the second quarter.

Love pulled down an interception late in the game that all but sealed the fate of the Lombardi Trophy.

All in all — it was a fantastic night (unless you’re a fan of the Patriots I guess). Congratulations to both Julian Love and Rylie Mills. Not only are they both Notre Dame alums, but they are also a couple of ALL-TIMERS hers at OFD and on the podcast.

Congrats to Julian and Rylie!
