After a hard-fought defensive battle, the Seahawks topped the Patriots 29-13 in their Super Bowl rematch

The Seattle Seahawks have won the 2026 Super Bowl.
After a hard-fought defensive battle that included a Super Bowl record five field goals by Seattle kicker Jason Myers, the Seahawks beat the New England Patriots with a final score of 29-13 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Super Bowl LX was a rematch for the two teams, who last competed for the ultimate win in 2015. Their previous face-off ended with the Patriots taking home the New England team's fourth set of Super Bowl rings with a final score of 28-24.
"It's an unbelievable feeling man," Sam Darnold told NBC on the field after the victory. "I'm just so happy for the guys in the locker room and the coaches."

A lot has changed for both NFL teams since their last Super Bowl competition.
This time around, the Patriots were fronted by 23-year-old quarterback Drake Maye and their new head coach, Mike Vrabel. It marked the team's first return to the big game since 2019, when superstar quarterback Tom Brady led them alongside coach Bill Belichick.
Quarterback Darnold, 28, led the Seahawks this year, marking their first Super Bowl game since their 2015 defeat.
Going into the big game, the Patriots already had six Super Bowl wins, most recently taking home the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2019. They were tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the teams with the most title wins.
The Seahawks took home their first Super Bowl victory in 2014, besting the Denver Broncos.

The annual event was a big night for music, as well. Punk rockers Green Day launched things off by performing during the opening ceremony. Charlie Puth belted out the national anthem, and Brandi Carlile sang "America the Beautiful" while Coco Jones delivered her take on "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
