Ravens fans are backing former defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald and the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
Ravens fans have extremely fond memories of Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald. Many hoped that he would succeed John Harbaugh as Baltimore’s head coach before he was poached by Seattle.
Those same fans have less fond memories of the Patriots’ playoff dominance in the Brady/Belichick years. So it’s no surprise that Ravens fans overwhelmingly picked the Seahawks to beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LX:
There’s plenty of reason to believe in Macdonald and his team, who are currently 4.5-point favorites, per FanDuel. Their defense has been dominant all year and Sam Darnold has been excellent in back-to-back games.
The Patriots, meanwhile, barely snuck by the Bo Nix-less Broncos in the AFC Championship Game. Neither team could produce much offense through the weather, but it’s easy to imagine a Denver win if Nix was healthy. New England’s defense has still been among the league’s best, but Drake Maye will face a tough test against an elite defense.
Ravens fans also voiced their approval of the team’s new coordinators, Declan Doyle and Anthony Weaver:
91% of fans gave Baltimore’s coordinators a B or better. Doyle is a young, exciting offensive mind who has since surrounded himself with veteran assistants, while Weaver brings experience and familiarity with the Ravens Way to help the team transition to their new coaching staff.
