Plus, Drew Brees in the NFL Hall of Fame.
With the Super Bowl coming up in just a few hours Ryan and I wanted to record a day early so that we could safely sit ourselves in front of our TVs with our fried foods and our favorite beverages without worrying about having to stop and record a podcast. So, we hopped onto our microphones one day earlier than normal to talk about Purdue’s basketball game against the Oregon Ducks. A game Purdue won but that no one, and I mean no one, felt good about.
Before that though we talk a little bit about that Super Bowl and who we are rooting for. Then we get into Drew Brees being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A well deserved honor for a great Boilermaker. Then I go on a bit of a mini-rant about why Mike Alstott isn’t in the Hall of Fame and why he probably never will be despite being one of the most dominant players at his position in decades.
Finally, we get into the game against Oregon and ask what the hell is going on with this team? Plus, would going to a small ball lineup actually help? Ryan and I get into it all on today’s episode of the Boiler Alert Podcast.
