Good Sunday morning, TSFers! Today is a good day. Arsenal beat Sunderland yesterday. Aston Villa dropped points. Liverpool host Manchester City. The football has been excellent and we’ve got the Super Bowl later today.

As I write this, the Arsenal women are taking on leaders Manchester City’s women, looking to climb ahead of Chelsea for the critical third spot in the WSL table. City are 13 points ahead of the Gunners and 8 clear of Manchester United in second. They’re going to win the WSL barring a spectacular collapse. But the race for second and third is well on. Arsenal have two games in hand over Manchester United in second, and if the Gunners win both, they’ll be a point ahead in second place.

We have a full slate of Winter Olympic action, too. What a day! It’d be really nice if Liverpool could do the Arsenal men a favor and take points off Manchester City. Anfield is a difficult place to play, and it’s not as if Liverpool don’t need the points! They’re in 6th place, trailing Chelsea in 5th by four points and Manchester United in 4th by five points. Arne Slot’s side need three points to stay in close contact with the Champions League places.
