The Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever headlined the Sunday slate with a rivalry matchup.
The Fever entered the game fresh off a victory over the Las Vegas Aces while the Sky were riding a four-game losing streak, struggling to find success under head coach Tyler Marsh.
Heading into the game, the conversation surrounded the rivalry of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. While the WNBA stars are in their second season in the league, each has been dealing with injury troubles.
Clark has been working through a groin injury that's kept her sidelined; she has only played 13 games this season and was ruled out of Sunday's game late last week.
Angel Reese is dealing with a back injury, forcing her to miss the game against the Fever.
She was a game-time decision and was unfortunately ruled out just before tip-off, per Karli Bell.

Angel Reese missed the team's most recent game and has been dealing with back issues since before the WNBA All-Star break, leaving the Chicago Sky without one of the most versatile forwards in the league.
Chicago has yet to really gain momentum, and injuries have surely played a role. Heading into the matchup against the Indiana Fever, the Sky were sitting at 7-17, the No. 11 team in the 13-team WNBA.
This season, Angel Reese has posted 13.8 points, 12.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
Reese is coming off a WNBA All-Star appearance, her second in two seasons with the Sky.
