Juventus will have more to spend in the summer than in January, but the plan is to concentrate their resources on a pair of coups and round out the squad with a few cheap signings, preferably for free.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri have set sights on a few players on expiring contracts. They tried to acquire Oscar Mingueza during the past window, but Celta Vigo asked for too much. He’s not the only right-back on their radar, as they are eyeing also Zeki Celik and seem keener on him. He’s already familiar with Serie A and has a €2M salary.

The second priority target for Juventus in this sense is Marcos Senesi. Lloyd Kelly has been fine, but he’s their only lefty at the position. The Argentine is likely to leave Bournemouth. He reportedly likes the destination but has high-profile suitors in the Premier League. The Old Lady will have to offer €3/5M per year to nab him.

The Bianconeri are keeping tabs on Bernardo Silva, but it’ll take a significant disbursement in his case. As for the midfield, they believe they have a shot at luring Franck Kessié back to Italy and are closely monitoring RB Leipzig’s Xaver Schlager.

Our Take on the Juventus Targets

Considering how their rich acquisitions have gone, the less they spend, the better. There are always some diamonds in the rough in the free agent pool, and they are more generous with salaries and agents than other sides, so they’ll be in the running for any player if they really want to. They’ll have to decide first which roles need major investments and which only a touch-up.
