Atlanta United have confirmed the signing of Hull City midfielder Steven Alzate for a fee of £1.5m plus add-ons.
The seven-time capped Colombian international makes the move to the MLS on an X-year deal after just one season with the Tigers, for whom he made 29 appearances.
Alzate started his career with Leyton Orient before a seven-year spell with Brighton, which included loan spells at Swindon Town and Standard Liège.Â
He links up with Ronny Delia's side in their time of need, with Atlanta just three points off the bottom of the Eastern Conference table.Â
The 26-year-old could make his debut for the club in one of their two Leagues Cup clashes against either Pumas or Atlas, while his MLS debut is set to take place against bottom side Montréal.Â
