Manchester United are preparing to face Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday as Michael Carrick looks to make it four wins out of four.

It has been a dream start for the caretaker head coach, with the Red Devils seeing off Manchester City, Arsenal, and Fulham.

The manner of the wins was also impressive, with the 20-time English league champions playing Pep Guardiola’s side off the park before securing late wins against both London teams.

Ahead of Saturday’s crunch tie, Spurs boss Thomas Frank was asked to give his verdict about United under Michael Carrick.

Frank on what Carrick has changed at United

The under-fire Dane went on to explain the two major differences he has noticed during the pre-match press conference.

He also added that United possess great individual quality to change games in an instant, highlighting Bruno Fernandes‘ impact as the attacking midfielder.

“I think he has had a great start,” Frank was quoted as saying as per Sky Sports News. “It seems like there was injected a little bit of energy into the team.

“I think it looks like some of the players are in a good place. We know the threats that I also think they posed before from Bryan Mbeumo, Amad, Cunha and Bruno Fernandes, he’s getting this team ticking.

Carrick has done a fabulous job

“He has done that the last, I don’t know, four or five years. It has been incredible. It is a threat, it is a challenge, but we are looking forward to it.”

Frank is spot on. The energy put in by the players, both offensively and defensively, has been a joy to behold and is a marked improvement from Ruben Amorim’s time at the club.

Something plenty of United stars have alluded to in recent interviews.

Not to mention, the legendary midfielder has also revitalised quite a few players who seemed down and out under the former head coach.

Now for four wins out of four

Kobbie Mainoo is a perfect example of that, while Carrick’s man-management also saw Patrick Dorgu shine in a more attacking role before his untimely injury.

Hopefully, the three-time Champions League winners can continue their mid-season revival and exact revenge on the North London side for what had transpired in the Europa League final in the last term.
