Newcastle United will welcome Brentford at St. James’ Park this Saturday as they look to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies suffered a tough 3-1 defeat away at Manchester City in the EFL Cup recently, so they would be eager to put in a good performance versus the Bees this weekend.
Eddie Howe will opt for the 4-3-3 formation once again and is expected to make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Yoane Wissa could get the nod to lead the line for the Tyneside club up top, while Nick Woltemade makes way for him and drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Nick Pope will play in between the sticks for the Magpies after he was rested in midweek. Dan Burn will function alongside Malick Thiaw at the centre of Howe’s defence as they look to keep the opposition at bay throughout the game.
Kieran Trippier will try to prove his value as the right-back, while Lewis Hall looks to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and express themselves inside the Brentford half.
Alex Murphy will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Howe could go with a midfield three of Jacob Ramsey, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. However, Guimaraes is a major doubt for this clash.
Anthony Elanga will be named on the Newcastle bench as he waits for his opportunity to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Anthony Gordon will be in a race against time to be fit for this game. He could get a chance to play on the left flank, while Jacob Murphy looks to prove his worth on the right flank.
Yoane Wissa will spearhead Howe’s attack in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet versus the Bees this weekend.
Nick Woltemade and Harvey Barnes will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
