The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding yet another name to an already large coaching staff. After hiring Shawn Howe from Montana State in an outside linebackers coach role, the Steelers are hiring Texas Tech outside linebackers coach C.J. Ah You in the same role.

It is unclear what Howe’s official role will be, but both he and Ah You are expected to work with the outside linebackers.

Ah You played in the NFL from 2007-11 with the Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Rams. He got his first coaching job in 2015 with Oklahoma, his alma mater, as a special teams quality control coach. He was then the defensive line coach at Vanderbilt, followed by a stint with the New York Guardians in the XFL. He was a quality control analyst with USC in 2021 before landing with Texas Tech in 2022.
