Sky Germany reports that 1.FC Köln are interested in bringing Galatasaray left-back Derrick Köhn back to the Bundesliga.
Köhn is open to a return to the Bundesliga after spending last season on loan at Werder Bremen. Last season, the 26-year-old played 30 times for Bremen, scoring twice and assisting twice.
Köln and Galatasaray are already in negotiations for Köhn, but the Bundesliga side’s first offer for the left-back was considered too low. Köhn’s contract in Turkey expires next summer, and Galatasaray are demanding €5m.
After their promotion last season, Köln have not rested as they look not to head straight back down to the 2.Bundesliga. Effzeh have already signed six players this window, and in addition to interest in Köhn, they are looking at bringing Keven Schlotterbeck to the Domstadt.
Hoffenheim’s Marius Bülter is also reportedly on the verge of moving to Köln, who would add much-needed numbers and Bundesliga experience to an attack that has lost Damion Downs and Tim Lemperle this summer.
