Inter Milan wingback Carlos Augusto hailed the team’s performance in Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Torino in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the Brazilian outlined the Nerazzurri’s ambition to win every title this season.
Fresh off a 2-0 Serie A win at Cremonese, Inter headed into proceedings in a buoyant mood, looking to stay in the race for a landmark 10th Coppa Italia title.
Indeed, Cristian Chivu’s side demolished second-tier Venezia 5-1 in the previous round to set up this tie.
Despite upsetting the odds against Roma last time out, Torino never really stood a chance against the San Siro giants.
Even though Chivu rested numerous first-team stars, Inter dominated the game from start to finish.
Meanwhile, Ange-Yoan Bonny returned to the scoresheet to open the scoring late in the first half.
Then, Andy Diouf doubled the home team’s lead at the start of the second half.
Sandro Kulenovic’s goal a few minutes before the hour mark failed to inspire a comeback as Inter claimed their eighth consecutive win over Torino.

Augusto returned to the starting lineup to replace Alessandro Bastoni, who needed some rest amid Inter’s brutal schedule.
While he feels far more comfortable on the wing, the 27-year-old held up his end of the bargain tonight.
“We know how last season ended,” Augusto admitted. “But we are Inter, and we always play to win.
“We’ll try, as long as it’s possible.”
Meanwhile, he also heaped praise on Issiaka Kamate and Matteo Cocchi.
Indeed, both Primavera starlets found themselves in the starting eleven tonight, replacing Luis Henrique and Federico Dimarco, respectively.
Furthermore, the former even picked up an assist, setting up Bonny for the opening goal with a delightful cross.
“The youngsters did well,” Augusto added. “They work with us, and we know them. They have to keep it up.”
After extending their winning streak in all competitions to four matches, Inter will now turn to a must-win away league match against Sassuolo.
