Inter Milan star Ange-Yoan Bonny addressed the press after tonight’s Coppa Italia quarter-final win over Torino.
Speaking to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the French striker confirmed that he was happy with the victory.
Goals on either side of halftime saw the Nerazzurri snatch away a gutsy 2-1 win at the Stadio Brianteo.
Despite fielding an understrength lineup, Cristian Chivu oversaw another positive result as Inter reached the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Ange-Yoan Bonny, who started the match alongside Marcus Thuram, opened the scoring in the 35th minute.
Indeed, the 22-year-old center-forward headed home a teasing cross from teenage winger Issiaka Kamate.
Furthermore, it took Inter just two minutes into the second half to double their advantage.
Bonny’s countryman, Andy Diouf, latched onto Thuram’s low cross, putting the ball into the back of the net.
However, Torino pulled one back through Sandro Kulenovic midway through the second half.
It proved only a consolation strike for Marco Baroni’s side, as they’ve now lost eight consecutive games against Inter.

After scoring in a 5-1 rout of Venezia in the previous Coppa Italia round, Bonny continued his superb cup form on Wednesday.
Therefore, the French star has now scored seven goals in domestic competitions this season.
“Against Torino, it’s always very complicated,” Bonny said after the game. “But today we’re happy with the win.”
Chivu gave Bonny a chance to start ahead of Lautaro Martinez and Francesco Pio Esposito tonight.
Indeed, competition for places at San Siro is as stiff as it gets, especially in the final third.
However, the former Parma man is aware of that, and it doesn’t faze him much.
“We are many, and we’re doing very well,” Bonny added.
“We’re at the manager’s disposal, and we hope we can do well for the rest of the season.”
