It was perhaps a quieter transfer deadline day than many expected in the WSL, but several clubs still completed late deals.

Arsenal strengthened their squad in a bid to win more silverware after being crowned winners of the inaugural Champions Cup.

The Gunners completed the signing of Czech international goalkeeper Barbora Votikova on loan from Slavia Prague.

Votikova previously played for north London rivals Spurs and also had a spell with PSG in France.

“Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a special team and special supporters, so it’s a huge honour for me to come here,” she said after signing. “It’s been a dream of mine to play at Emirates Stadium and I can’t wait to get started.”

Elsewhere, London City Lionesses announced the permanent signing of Malou Marcetto Madrid CFF.

The 28-year-old has penned a deal with the club until 2028. “I feel very excited and so happy to be here,” the midfielder said. “The facilities are great and the people I’ve met have made me feel really welcome.”

Meanwhile, West Ham have confirmed the club record sale of Lionesses defender Anouk Denton to American club Bay FC.

“Bay FC is an ambitious club with a clear vision, and it felt like the right place for the next step in my career,” Denton said.
