Real Madrid have been made aware of a surprising opportunity in the transfer market, with Enzo Fernandez actively expressing his desire to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to journalist Eduardo Inda in Ok Diario, the Chelsea midfielder has grown increasingly unhappy with his current situation at Chelsea and has taken steps to let Madrid know where his future ambitions lie.
Fernandez, who arrived at Chelsea for a record-breaking fee, is said to be dissatisfied not only with the club’s sporting direction but also with life in London.
Sources close to the player claim he has openly spoken about his dream of wearing the Real Madrid shirt and testing himself at one of football’s most demanding clubs.
Message received at Real Madrid
Inda reports that the Argentine has shared these feelings with members of his inner circle, including Franco Mastantuono, making it clear that playing for Real Madrid is a long-term personal objective.
The message has already reached Valdebebas through intermediaries.
Explaining the player’s mindset and motivations, Inda offered a revealing insight into Fernandez’s current situation, saying,
“He’s at Chelsea and fed up with London. London, with all the rain, isn’t very appealing to an Argentinian. His dream is to play for Real Madrid.”

From Real Madrid’s perspective, the timing of this revelation is interesting, as strengthening the midfield is one of the club’s top priorities for next summer.
It is within this context that Fernandez’s name has entered internal discussions.
But the fee…
The Argentine remains one of the most highly rated midfielders in world football, after having signed for Chelsea in a deal worth €121 million.
Now, Fernandez feels ready to take on the responsibility of orchestrating Real Madrid’s midfield.
However, any potential deal faces a major obstacle, as Chelsea have no intention of selling at a loss and would demand a fee well above what they originally paid.
Reports suggest the London club would not even consider negotiations below €140 million.
While Real Madrid are prepared to invest heavily in the right profile, numbers of that magnitude are considered excessive, at least initially.
Internally, there is an understanding that a significant outlay may be required this summer, but such a price tag would force serious debate at the board level.
