Sole possession of first place in the Central Division is on the line tonight as the Brewers host the Cubs at American Family Field.

The biggest series of the 2025 season to date is here, as the Milwaukee Brewers welcomed the Chicago Cubs for the first of three games at American Family Field on Monday, July 28.
With sole possession of first place in the National League Central on the line, right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (4-1, 2.45) makes the biggest start of his young career for the Brewers while all-star lefty Matthew Boyd (11-3, 2.20) counters for the Cubs.
The Brewers also made several roster moves prior to the game, most notably recalling right-hander Craig Yoho from Class AAA Nashville and optioning right-hander Tobias Myers there.
Adding Yoho gives Milwaukee a fresh bullpen arm, while Myers is expected to return to starting with the Sounds with the potential for another callup later in the year.
Also, left-hander Rob Zastryzny was recalled from his minor-league rehab assignment and remains on the injured list with a rib injury that manager Pat Murphy termed "concerning."
