Liverpool have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Stade Rennais for the transfer of France U21 international centre-back Jérémy Jacquet (20), who will join the Premier League champions ahead of the 2026-2027 season. The move remains subject to a work permit and international clearance.
Rennes are set to earn a club-record €72m transfer fee from the sale of Jacquet, who will therefore spend the remainder of the Ligue 1 campaign with his formative side. Jacquet underwent his medical on Merseyside on Monday.
Jacquet said that he was “honored to have signed for Liverpool, one of the greatest football institutions in the world.” The centre-back adds that it was very important to him to finish his journey with Les Rouge et Noir on a high. “I’ll tackle this second part of the season with the will to experience beautiful moments with my teammantes and the fans.”
