Milwaukee Bucks 2025 draft pick Bogoljub Marković is headed back to Europe for 2025-26 season. He will play for the Serbian team KK Mega Basket.
The Serbian professional basketball team KK Mega Basket (also known as Mega Superbet) announced on July 28 that Bogoljub Marković will rejoin the team to begin training for the 2025-26 season.
Marković was the Milwaukee Bucks’ lone draft choice in the 2025 NBA draft, being selected No. 47 in the second round. Marković, who turned 20 years old on July 12, participated in the Bucks’ summer league games in Las Vegas, playing 16.1 minutes per game in five appearances.
The 6-foot, 11-inch forward averaged 8.0 points on 37.5% shooting from behind the 3-point line while pulling down 2.2 rebounds.
Immediately after he was drafted, ESPN reported Marković would indeed head back to Serbia for this coming season, though after the draft Bucks assistant general manager Milt Newton said that had not yet been decided.
But since then, the Bucks have filled their 15-man roster and all three of its two-way slots.
A roster move could be made to keep Marković in Milwaukee, but the team already has 2024 second-round pick Tyler Smith (also 20 years old) and 2023 second-round pick Chris Livingston (21) at the end of the bench already on guaranteed deals.
