Nantes FC have entered the race to secure Watford FC winger Othmane Maamma (20), as per a report from Foot Mercato. Les Canaris have reportedly opened negotiations with the Championship club as they look to bolster their attacking options on deadline day.
The 20-year-old has impressed in the modest number of minutes he has played for the Hornets in the EFL Championship this season. Maamma has made 16 appearances for Watford in the English second division, scoring 3 goals and registering a solitary assist.
Nantes are not the only team interested in the Moroccan youth international, with Lille OSC linked yesterday with a move. Les Dogues are similarly in need of offensive reinforcements following the season-ending injury to Hamza Igamane and the serious injury to Ethan Mbappé (which similarly could be season-ending).
Lille are also looking at signing Jessrun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace, with the former England youth international attracting interest from multiple clubs amid reports he could leave the Premier League side.
