News broke Sunday that Booker was selected for his fifth All-Star appearance, adding another chapter to a résumé built on consistency rather than flash. During the Phoenix Suns’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Booker emphasized his gratitude while also acknowledging what the team has accomplished this season.

“First, I’ve got to thank the team,” he said on the team’s broadcast. “I’ve had statistically some better years where I didn’t make the game and that all comes back to team success. I’ve been hearing that since I’ve been in the league and we’ve exceeded expectations from top to bottom. It’s been fun to turn this thing around and we’re playing some pretty good basketball.”

The reaction reflects who Booker has grown into within the franchise. As a central figure in the Suns’ resurgence, he has helped pave the way for sustained relevance and success. While fan voting once again kept him out of the All-Star starting lineup, his selection by head coaches reinforces the league-wide respect for his impact among elite guards.

It also highlights what Phoenix has long believed about itself as a group: a team that doesn’t define itself by preseason predictions, but by how it responds to them. The Suns lean on one another and share success collectively.

On one night, it may be Booker powering the Suns to a win. On another, it could be Dillon Brooks, Jordan Goodwin or Collin Gillespie. They treat each other like All-Stars for the work they put in toward a common goal, not for highlight reels or headlines.

The selection is an honor for Booker, but it also serves as an acknowledgment of the season the Suns have had — one he made clear would not have been possible without the team around him.
